2009 Farmer's Almanac Calendars Are Available
BUCKHANNON , WV – In early 2007, the Buckhannon Upshur Retail Merchants Association (BURMA) purchased 2008 almanac calendars in an effort to carry on a tradition started by Home Hardware. This year fifteen BURMA members participated on the 2009 calendars. By involving our local businesses, the calendars provide an innovative advertising opportunity while also promoting Buckhannon, Upshur County, and the downtown area. BURMA is delighted to make them available as a resource for the local farmer’s and community.
The almanac calendars are produced by the AmerICan Calendar Company. It was established in 1876 and each calendar has over 4,900 pieces of information listed on the 8 page red and black flip calendar. All major holidays are marked clearly and they also include: sun sets, weather forecast, fishing guide, zodiac planting, zodiac harvesting, breeding record, moon phases, almanac calculations, chronological cycles, and much more.
If you are interested in purchasing the new 2009 Almanac Calendars, they are $5.00 each and are currently available at these local businesses: A & D Floral Creations, Momselle Maternity Shop & Nana Kay’s Baby Nook, Progressive Bank, The Sweet Life Bakery, and Whimsical Treasures.

Buckhannon, WV is one of the friendliest small towns in the area.
