2010 BURMA Almanac Calendars Are Still Available!
BUCKHANNON , WV – The Buckhannon Upshur Retail Merchants Association (BURMA) has purchased almanac calendars for the past three years in an effort to carry on a tradition started by Home Hardware. Proceeds from the sale of the calendars have been a great fundraising opportunity for the organization and BURMA will be selling the Almanac Calendars for 2010.
BURMA members participating on the 2010 calendar are: A Domestic Friend, A Governor's Inn, Centennial Motel & Pub, Loudin Insurance Agency, Inc., Mike Ross, Inc., Wendy's, Whimsical Treasures, Angelic Designs, Colonial Hotel-Motel, The Shops at 46 Main, and The Sign Guy. By involving local businesses, the calendars promote Buckhannon, Upshur County, and the downtown area while continuing to make them available as a resource for the local farmer’s and community.
The calendars are produced by the AmerICan Calendar Company. It was established in 1876 and each almanac calendar has over 4,900 pieces of information listed on the 8 page red and black flip calendar. All major holidays are marked clearly and they also include: sun sets, weather forecast, fishing guide, zodiac planting, zodiac harvesting, breeding record, moon phases, almanac calculations, chronological cycles, and much more.
If you are interested in purchasing the new 2010 Almanac Calendars, they are $5.00 each and are currently available at these fine merchants: The Stitching House, The Shops at 46 Main, and Whimsical Treasures.

Buckhannon, WV is one of the friendliest small towns in the area.
