Buckhannon, WV is one of the friendliest small towns in the area. Antique Appraisal Fair Another Successful Event
BUCKHANNON, WV – The Buckhannon Upshur Retail Merchants Association ( BURMA) sponsored the Antique Appraisal Fair again this year on Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8, 2009. The event took place at the Buckhannon Moose Lodge located at 25 N. Kanawha Street from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm each day.
Teresa Kees was the appraiser on Friday and Jonathan B. Watson took over duties on Saturday. Chair person Emma Lue Marsh worked both days during the event and was pleased at the variety of items brought in. An antique basket, a beer keg, a sword, books, coins, jewelry, glassware, a gun, and a toy train were some of the items appraised.
BURMA sends a special "Thank You" to all the volunteers, especially the Buckhannon Moose Lodge, Emma Lue Marsh, Teresa Kees, and Jonathan Watson for helping to make the event a success again this year.
